The owner of Rusa Satria Wisata tours and travel agent realizes to resurgence in tours and travel service business has got to implement the best ever management, especially in order to save the cost, partnership management is the best solution to solve the finance problem on one hand and on the other hand to remake up the ruin situation.




As mentioned above Rusa Satria wisata tours and travel agent hand in hand work hard to gain a lot of profit together with the management institution, named I travels management. And here the writer will describe how it works in details systematically.

Based on the background of apprenticeship, therefore the writer figure out then conclude that the problems are;
1. How does Rusa Satria Wisata tours and travel agent implement management in running tours and travel business.

Tourism is a general concept that has definition keeps changing successively. Basically tourism industry is not common industry like factory produce concrete goods can be directly consumed by the costumer, however tourism is a complex combination between product and service.


Here are the lists of tourism definition from domestic and international experts;
1. Prof. Hunziger and Prof Krapf define
Tourism is a whole web and related symptoms to stranger’s home in one place, in one condition they do not live there to work permanently or temporarily. ( Richard Sihite, 2000 : 58 )
2. Dr. Salah Wahab defines
Tourism is a kind of industry stimulates economic growth rapidly to provide job vacancy, to increase income, to increase living standard also to stimulate the other productivity sectors. Next, as the complex sector, Tourism also covers the real classic industries, like handcraft, souvenirs, inn and transportation economically also acknowledged as a part of tourism industry.


Based on both definitions above, can be concluded that tourism is an activity that gives profit economically in permanent or temporary either for the businessmen or for the society where this industry is a very complex sector and each variable has mutualism connection one to another in cycle activity.


While in the point of Leiper’s view to tourism, has 3 elements consist of Tourists’ activities, geographic and the supporting supplier industry. This is a sketch of the system.

From the simple sketch above, we can indentify tourism is series from individuals, company, organization and link to a tour activity. Tourism is multi dimension thing with activities involve many kinds of life and economic activity which links each other as system linkage can not separate between one variable to another in this industry.


The following detail explanations of 3 elements of tourism are;
1. Tourists
Tourist is a key player in this system. As tour is a very pleased human’s experience in order to relieve tourists from stress and bored hectic routine.
2. Geographic
In this session the are 3 main zones ;
a. Tourists’ origin place
This is a place of origin for tourists, the place where motivate tourist to travel to tourists’ attraction in the other place, a place where tourist gather any related information to their tours.
b. Tourists’ destination
Destination is a goal in tours, here tourist can implement the plan and the main purpose of the trip.
c. Transit place
Temporary tourist stop before proceeding to final destination, but there might be a chance to stay longer or even make it be the final destination as there are some reasons not to allow tourist go further to reach the final destination.
3. Tourism industry


This part seems like a company and organization activity relates to tourism product. While Tourism industry is the industry links to Tours organizing to serve tourists starting from the origin to destination such as ; travel agents, hotels, transportation, souvenir shops, etcetera.


Those there elements explained above, interacting each other, not just the tour product bearer but also in transaction and the tourist attraction it self.


Here we will study about the system in tours and travel agent business, as part of tourism industry, somehow in crisis situation requires a new idea to solve the finance problem, survive and win in such a tight competition. Nor just to create a unique tour package or giving a special discount.


The best formula is to implement the partnership management in order to save the operation. And to win the competition we must attract customer as many as possible, therefore service is number one, however it is ancient key, now days service quality is no longer something new, everybody has already known. No matter how effective and efficient service, because there are hundreds travel give the best service ever in the same place.


So now we got to find the way what is even more than just a flawless service, that is to know what costumer wants, as how flawless service we can provide but that is not the service costumer want!!, useless, so to make it more effective and worth it, We can do something more brilliant like to involve the costumer to provide service it is called market driven company.
