RESEARCH METHOD


2.1 Method of program execution

Period

Approximately the period of the apprenticeship is 3 months in Rusa Satria Wisata that may gives a chance to the writer to adapt and master the situation. In the end by time being the writer will get benefit both skill and knowledge.


Division



The writer is posted in sales and tours division. As the general of business is marketing and sales is the prominent part of marketing, tours organizing is also main activity in tours and travel agent business, therefore the writer chose sales and tours division as the place to be posted in for apprenticeship program in order to learn the situation eventually understand the problems.


Phases

Apprenticeship is a program for training, so in Rusa Satria Wisata the writer had done training as part of sales and tours team which means as a trainee the writer is at the beginning phase.



2.2. Method of data / information collection

This research uses descriptive method, the research tries to describe related phenomena’s which is examined systematically, factually and accurate. The reason why a writer uses descriptive method is because descriptive method allowing a writer pours all the thoughts and the points will be concluded.

To understand carefully and proper meaning in this script, so writers feel the need to stress the meaning each terminology in explanation so that make the script easier to understand and let readers interpret ate just in the same way a writer expects.

Here are the terminologies used;
• Implement: put the plan into practice in order to reach a goal of the company.
• Partnership: one of two or more persons or organizations contractually associated as joint principals in a business.
• Management: is a way to achieve the objects or goals of the organization effectively and efficiently through plans, organization, leadership and resources control.
• Business: affair or concern motivates people to make a plan to accomplish the goal, which is in product and service trade the ultimate goal is profit.
• Tours and travel agent: organization is doing business in organizing the tours and travel arrangement service for the tourists and travelers.


Research object location

A location chosen by a writer is Rusa Satria Wisata tours and travel agent situated at Jl. Manukan Tama A III / 27. The reasons to choose this as the research objects are;
• Economic recession has swept lots of tours and travel agents but Rusa Satria Wisata still stands on and tries hard to survive.
• Rusa Satria Wisata implements the partnership management.
• Good location surrounded by some prestigious housing complex.
• Has an art to implement inventive idea in partnership management.


Informant seeking technique

Choosing informant in this research is a prime thing where the accurate data and information can be obtained by a writer as the materials to finish this script.

Motivations to pick informant are ;
• To earn lots of information from informant in relatively short time.
• Informant used to speak, brainstorming, or to compare to an event found from another subject.

Therefore a writer chose some informants, they are;
• The Owner, because he knows exactly how the business has gone the last few years, the real situation and condition inside company to possibly transfer the best, the most accurate information, as he is the real person who had been involved so far.
• Employee and staff all people work at Rusa Satria Wisata because they will get involved in daily operation to feed a writer with actual and detail information to know what is going on and how it is going to be.
• Management operator because he is the one who will rule the business, the point of view from the management will help a writer a lot to unveil the partnership management system at Rusa Satria Wisata.


Data Collection technique

In this research, there are 3 kinds of technique used by a writer, the reason why a writer u
ses those 3 techniques is to help a writer finish this script more easily.


Here the following explanations
• Observation
Observation is a watch together with records systematically to symptoms exposed by the research object. To understand perfectly how to implement partnership management in running business at Rusa Satria Wisata tours and travel agent, so a writer does participant observation, it is a kind of observation where a writer mingles directly to get involve in the daily life of research object.
• Interview
The interview required here is depth interview, which is interview with the direct question and answer to people who involved in running business at Rusa Satria Wisata, that a writer can acquire accurate data and information related to aim and purpose of the research.
• Library resources data
The library resources gained from any related references that are supporting the analyst to explain the problems.
• Documentation
Here all data recorded, written, captured necessarily needed which can support the primer data from any related resources to this research.

Data analyst technique

According to the purpose of this research, so the technique used to analyze is qualitative, it is the way to analyze by giving explanations about research object based on the real fact, so that a writer can find the answer for the problems, then to conclude the right conclusion just like what is really happening to research object



2.3. Method of Data presentation and Report Writing


Classification

On this thesis the writer classify by submitting any collected data in one bank data, next step is to separate them in specific item related to problems. The final step is to observe every single data carefully to classify the data one more time to make sure then put in the proper each specific classification data to support the explanation of the problems.

Elaboration

The writer elaborate the problems starting from participant observation which allows the writer to get involved in to understand the problems perfectly, then using interview and documentation data to find out the root of the problems.

Interpretation

In interpretation all information data required from observation, interview, library resources study, documentation to be explained gradually and systematically as per procedure of writing method supported by intellectual analyst.
